Zero server-side storage
Files stream directly between your browser and Telegram’s servers. We keep the names, sizes, folder structure and an encrypted pointer - never the bytes.
A zero-cost drive where you own the server. Files live exclusively in your own private Telegram channel, managed by a bot only you control. Cuddy is just the folders, previews, search and locks on top.
Architecture
Telegram acts as both the transport and the storage layer, which means your data never rests on our servers and there is nothing for us to bill you for.
Files stream directly between your browser and Telegram’s servers. We keep the names, sizes, folder structure and an encrypted pointer - never the bytes.
Telegram’s free tier is generous enough for personal storage, so there is no plan to upgrade to and no trial to run out.
Your bot token is encrypted before it reaches the database and decrypted only inside the server code that calls Telegram.
Every file is an ordinary message in a channel you can open in the Telegram app. Stop using Cuddy tomorrow and your files are still exactly where you left them.
Getting started
No deployments, no infrastructure to rent. Three steps connect your Telegram account to the interface.
Message @BotFather on Telegram and send /newbot. It gives you a token in about forty seconds.
Make a private Telegram channel - this is your storage - and add the bot you just made as an administrator.
Paste the token and the channel ID into Settings. Both are verified against Telegram before anything is saved.
FAQ
Everything worth knowing about how Cuddy handles your files and your credentials.
Read the full list of limitsYour files never sit on a server we own. They go straight from your browser into your own Telegram channel, using a bot only you control. We keep the folder names and the list - not the files themselves. Your bot password is scrambled before we store it, so even we cannot read it.
No. Your files are tied to your account and nobody else's, and we check that twice - once in the database itself and once again every time something is loaded. If someone tried to open one of your files with a direct link, they would just get a “not found”.
There is no limit on how many files you keep or how much space they take - that is up to your Telegram channel, and Telegram does not charge for it. The only rule is 20 MB per file, because that is the largest single file Telegram will hand back to us.
Nothing is deleted. Your folders and your file list stay exactly as they were. You just cannot upload or open anything until you connect a bot again - there is nothing to fetch your files through in the meantime.
Because Telegram does not send you a bill. That is the whole idea. You already have free, unlimited space sitting there - this just gives you folders, search, previews and locks so it feels like a real drive.
No. It is three steps and takes about two minutes: message @BotFather on Telegram to make a bot, make a private channel, then paste two things into Settings. Our guide walks you through it with screenshots.
Yes. There is no plan, no card and no trial. The storage is your Telegram channel, which costs nothing, so there is nothing for us to charge you for.
Keep your files under your own control, on infrastructure you already use every day.
